Country Profile

Andorra is a small country located in southwestern Europe between France and Spain, with a population of about 82,000. It was ruled by French and Spanish leaders for more than 700 years, and has been transformed into a parliamentary democracy since 1993 that retains two co-princes as its heads of state. The mainstay of the country’s economy is tourism, and its banking sector enjoys a tax-haven status.
